You'll learn on Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controllers running Rekordbox, the industry-standard DJ software. Pioneer is the same brand behind the gear in nearly every club booth, so the layout you learn here, jog wheels, channel faders, EQs, and cue points, is the layout you'll find when you step up to a club setup. Our instructors remove the intimidation factor of professional gear and break every technique into hands-on steps, from your first cue point to beatmatching by ear.

Just like a gym membership, come in and practice on our Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controllers whenever you need. Our 3,000 square foot facility in Downtown Crossing is conveniently located near all major T-stops and within walking distance of downtown Boston neighborhoods. Make regular practice part of your routine without buying decks or needing space at home.

DJ Lesson FAQs
No experience is required. Our lessons are designed for complete beginners as well as experienced DJs. We start with the basics of the equipment and remove the intimidation factor of professional DJ gear from day one.
No equipment is required. We provide Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controllers and Rekordbox at our studio, and you can come in to practice on them between lessons, just like a gym membership. Having a laptop with Rekordbox installed helps with practice at home, but it's optional.
You'll learn on Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controllers running Rekordbox, the industry-standard DJ software. The DDJ-FLX4 is a great controller to learn on, and because it shares Pioneer's standard layout, the fundamentals you build here carry over when you step up to club gear: loading tracks, cue points, jog wheels, EQs, loops, and effects.
Private DJ lessons are one-on-one and fully customized to your goals and schedule. Our Intro to DJing mini-course is an 8-week small-group course where you build a complete set and perform it at a student showcase. Many students do both, and we can help you pick the right starting point.
Any music you love. You build your sets from your own musical inspirations, and your instructor helps you find songs that blend naturally together by tempo, energy, and even their abstract qualities.
Yes! Students are invited to perform at DJ showcases following our happy hours, and our community events give you regular chances to spin for a real crowd when you're ready.
