Triin is a versatile musician and educator originally from Estonia, now based in Boston. After earning degrees in psychology and completing music therapy studies, she pursued her passion for music at Berklee College of Music on a World Tour Scholarship, majoring in Contemporary Writing & Production. She enjoys exploring multiple roles in music, composer, arranger, producer, vocalist, pianist, and teacher. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe, joyful learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and express themselves.
Meghan
Vocal & Production Instructor

Meghan is a versatile music producer and a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Electronic Production and Sound Design and received an award from the Contemporary Writing and Production department for excellence in electronic music production. She works fluently across Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reaper, FL Studio and Audacity, with deep experience in MIDI and sample based production, original instrument design, beat making and full arrangement. Her production work spans hip hop, house, Afro-Cuban, orchestral and EDM, and she handles the whole pipeline: composing original material, integrating MIDI and live elements, then delivering polished mixes and masters. Whether you want to build your own sonic identity, learn a specific DAW, or take a track from first idea to finished release, she will meet you where you are.
Jake
Production & Guitar Instructor
Berklee College of Music
Jake is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound designer with 14 years of experience in Ableton Live. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he holds a degree in Electronic Production and Sound Design with a concentration in guitar, and works fluently across genres, specializing in electronic dance music. He performs and tours nationally under his solo electronic project Maxfield, playing festivals and clubs around the country, which gives him a perspective on both the performance and the production side of modern music-making. As a teacher, Jake loves helping students get the ideas out of their heads and into the DAW, with an emphasis on systems and strategies for improving as a musician and on applying music theory in a way that is actually fun.
Music Production Lesson FAQs
None. Most students arrive having never opened a DAW, or having opened one, felt lost, and closed it again. Lessons start from what you want to make and build the technical skills around that, rather than working through a feature tour of the software.
Whichever one fits your goals. Our instructors work fluently in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Reaper, and Pro Tools. If you already own one, we teach on that. If you do not, your instructor will help you pick based on the music you want to make rather than on what is fashionable.
Not to start. We have production workstations at the studio and open practice time to use them. A laptop with a DAW installed makes home practice possible, and your instructor will tell you what is genuinely worth buying and what can wait, usually in that order: headphones, an interface, then a controller.
No. Plenty of producers here work entirely with MIDI and samples. That said, students who play even a little piano tend to move faster, and you can add group piano classes to a membership if you want that foundation.
Private lessons are one-on-one, open-ended, and paced to your own project. The mini-course is a fixed cohort with a set curriculum, which suits people who want structure and a deadline. Many students do the course first and continue with lessons afterwards.
The $100 Intro Week is the best way to start: a one hour private lesson, 7 days of unlimited group classes, and open practice time. If you continue, your $100 applies toward a membership or lesson pack. Memberships run $160 to $480 per month depending on how many private lessons you want.
We are at 33 West Street in Downtown Crossing, Boston, steps from the Red and Orange Lines at Downtown Crossing station, the Green Line at Park Street, and the Blue Line at State. Members commute from Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, and every downtown neighborhood.
Yes. Musicians Playground is an adults-only studio. Every lesson, class, event, and practice session is built for adult learners, so you will never feel out of place starting production later in life. Your classmates are professionals, retirees, and returners just like you.
