The experience and talented teachers are amazing. I personally started learning guitar and piano in my 50s and MP has made me feel comfortable with my musical learning journey. Old dogs can learn new tricks! I appreciate all they have done for me. Try it out!

Very cool place. The group classes are great. You're with other people, but you still get a lot of one on one attention from the teacher. It's like a gym but for music.

Musicians Playground is a hidden gem in downtown Boston for anyone who wants to learn a new instrument, build on their current skills, and connect with a vibrant and welcoming community of music lovers. Making time for music has been the best thing I've done for myself in a long time.

Musicians Playground has been an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to begin or further develop their musical abilities. I came in with no musical background at all but had always wanted to learn how to sing. From my very first call, the team was extremely helpful. In a relatively short amount of time, I've learned so much, and my vocal range has expanded significantly.

MP is essentially a music academy. They offer one on one lessons, group lessons, open mic night, keyboard, vocal and guitar lessons. The accountability has been one of the biggest differences in my growth. The studio is usually buzzing with activity and offers such a great setting to learn. Highly recommend MP!

I've had such a great experience at Musician's Playground over the past few months - I've learned so much with Triin in my private piano lessons as well as the group lessons. I've also met some really amazing musicians here! The classes offered are diverse and easy to sign up for. There truly is something for everybody here!

Drum Lesson FAQs
Having a practice kit at home helps, but it's not required to start. We have both acoustic and electronic drum kits at our studio. Practice pads are an affordable way to practice at home quietly.
Electronic drums are excellent for learning, especially for apartment dwellers. They allow you to practice with headphones and often include training features. The technique transfers well to acoustic drums.
Most beginners can play basic beats within a few weeks. Within 3-6 months, you'll be able to play along with songs and understand fundamental rhythm concepts.
Acoustic drums are loud, but electronic drums with headphones solve this problem. Practice pads are also nearly silent and great for developing technique at home.
While drummers don't need to read melodic notation, understanding rhythm notation, time signatures, and song structure is valuable. We incorporate relevant theory into our drum lessons.
